History
The Geyi Art Museum's historical roots are intricately tied to the cultural and architectural legacy of the Ming Dynasty(1368-1644). The Wenfeng Pagoda, which hosts the museum, was originally erected during the Wanli Period, a time characterized by vibrant cultural development in China. The site on which the museum stands, Wufu Temple, holds significant cultural symbolism due to its connotations of prosperity and well-being through its representation of five blessings: luck, officialdom, longevity, happiness, and wealth.
